David Carter B.A. (McGill) 2008, International Public Law (Herstmonceaux) 2009, J.D. (Queens) 2011 is the co-founding partner of Grechi Carter Professional Corporation. His practice is focused on residential and commercial real estate law, private mortgage financing and mortgage enforcement work. David enjoys advising clients on structuring various real estate related business opportunities including real estate development, mortgage brokering, mortgage syndications, and establishing and administering private mortgage investment groups, companies and trusts.
David is the co-author of the real estate law text book: Real Estate Transaction 2nd Edition. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, and is currently teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, law department. He has authored papers for the Six Minute Real Estate Lawyer on topics including Time of the Essence, Outstanding Building Permits, and Construction Financing.
In his free time David remains an avid Toronto sports fan and continues to enjoy playing golf, baseball and hockey.
